Day 1 - 4 After a brief introduction and a short shuttle we'll begin our backcountry Baja adventure exploring the volcanic Sierra de la Giganta on mountain bike. The Giganta range is a diverse landscape featuring jagged peaks, classic desert terrain, large mesas, hidden springs, working ranches and historic missions.

Day 5 - 8 We bid the Sierra de la Giganta farewell and welcome the sparkling waters of the Sea of Cortez. The scenery changes dramatically as we depart the steep coast by sea kayak. Our days are spent paddling and snorkeling along the beautiful shores of Isla San Jose, searching for playful dolphins, discovering hidden canals and turquoise lagoons, and hiking among towering cardon cactus. In the evenings, we'll lounge on beautiful white sand beaches under the magnificent sunsets alit over the Sierra Giganta.

After three magical days of paddling and snorkeling, we'll return to the mainland for a shuttle to La Paz and flights home.
